Wow, this episode has some really interesting gems. I speak with Billie Dean of A Place of Peace Sanctuary here in Australia. She has the rare opportunity of being able to witness the societies that animals create when they're not 'farmed' or kept to human rules. We talk geese, brumbies (Australian wild horses), sheep, wild cats, and cows, as well as the 2020 bushfires and her experiences with that terrifying ordeal and the native animals affected by it. Billie shares her views on how animals and nature should be cared for- it might not be for everyone, but it's interesting and it's something to think about. I also have a horrible coughing fit so I'm muted for most of it... whoops. Please excuse me. You know those times when you can't stop coughing but you just have to continue? That was me.
Stick around to the end to find out how you can help the sanctuary, or go directly to the links below. If you have any ideas how Billie can raise more money without having people traipse through the farm and disturb the animals, please, let her know!
